Approach

I am Aaron Hoskins, a Phoenix wedding photographer. I work the way a documentary photographer works: I stay out of the way, I wait, and I photograph the day as it actually happens rather than stopping it every few minutes to arrange something.

Most of what I am watching for sits in the gaps. The quiet stretch between the vows. A hand on the back of a neck that settles somebody down. The tears nobody saw coming. Those are the frames people come back to years later, so those are the ones I chase.

Weddings, engagements and family sessions, shot around Phoenix, Scottsdale and Flagstaff, and further out when the day calls for it. Everything is edited by me, with a polished editorial finish and no heavy hand on the colour.
